Web-to-Lead/to-Case

Web-to-Lead or Web-to-Case functions are tools that automatically capture leads or cases from a website external to Salesforce to create a lead or case record directly in Salesforce.

These tools are used to generate a Webform in HTML format with the Salesforce fields that retrieve the information from the record. The webform is then integrated on a website, for example a contact form on a merchant site.

The function also designates a user as Default Lead Creator who receives the ownership of the records created by the automation, if no Assignment rule has been configured. He will also receive notifications when the limit of 500 leads per day has been reached as well as the ownership of the records that do not match any of the rule entries criteria of the active Assignment rule.

Nota:

Required fields and Data Validation rules are not included in the webform. It is up to the web developer to make the fields mandatory when embedding the code on the website.

Limits: a maximum of 500 new leads generated  per day via the Web-to-Lead and 5000 new cases generated via the Web-to-Case per day.
